ENAMELED COPPER TEAPOTS
Frenchmen were the first to make enamel miniatures in
the 17th century. The English learned the skills in the 18th century
and applied them to copper boxes. Unfortunately, the English now use
transfer-printing technology in order to mass-produce these boxes. The
hand-paint tradition was lost until it was recently revived..
These teapots are 100% handmade. The copper is
tooled to the shape of the teapot and every color on the teapot is hand
painted and fired separately. The enameling follows the 17th
century tradition.
Each comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity
